Team INTEX Takes First at Calithlon 2026

Friday, September 25th. Kabs Underground, Abdali. Three athletes. Three rounds. One 35-minute time cap.

Team 11 (INTEX) walked into Calithlon ready to test themselves — and walked out as first-place finishers in the Ironmen category.

The team brought together Adham Al Sqour, head coach of SAGER, and legacy gym owner, SAGER coach Ahmad Laham, alongside Amin Atallah, a CrossFit athlete, owner and head coach of 962 owner, as well as a friend of the SAGER team. It was their first competition together, but they already had one thing going for them: a clear plan.

And they stuck to it.

The Challenge

Organised by Geez Calisthenics, Calithlon put teams of three through three rounds of running, cardio, weighted movements, and high-rep calisthenics.

Every round started with two laps around the block before the team could get to work.

Then came the reps.

Round 1:

  • 600 meter run
  • 60-calorie bike
  • 25 muscle-ups
  • 100 squats with a 20 kg vest
  • 60 push-ups

Round 2:

  • 600 meter run
  • 80-calorie bike
  • 40 pull-ups with +10 kg
  • 80 squats with a 20 kg vest
  • 80 push-ups

And then the final round.

One athlete had to complete the run wearing the 20 kg vest, followed by:

  • 100-calorie bike
  • 10 muscle-ups
  • 20 pull-ups with +10 kg
  • 60 weighted squats
  • 100 push-ups

All of it had to be completed within 35 minutes.

The challenge wasn’t just getting through the movements. It was figuring out how to get through them without burning out too early.

Stick to the Plan

Team Intex’s biggest advantage was their approach.

They didn’t try to sprint through the first round and hope they had enough left for the rest. They divided the work between them, played to their individual strengths, and focused on managing their energy.

Adham and Ahmad took on the muscle-ups and weighted pull-ups, while the remaining work was split across the three athletes.

Even the running was approached strategically. Instead of going all-out on the two laps and arriving at the workout already fatigued, they kept their pace controlled.

It was a long workout, and they knew it.

The goal was to still have something left when it mattered.

For most of the competition, the plan worked exactly as intended.

The Final Push

Then came the last minute.

With the 35-minute cap getting closer, the pressure suddenly changed. The remaining push-ups needed to get done — and they needed to get done quickly.

The team split the final reps between them and pushed through as fast as they could.

After more than 34 minutes of work, Team Intex crossed the finish line with roughly 30 seconds left on the clock.

They were done.

First Place

Team Intex finished first in the Ironmen category, taking home 600 JD in cash as well as gifts from the event’s sponsors.

The result was even more significant considering it was the first time these three athletes had competed together.

There was no dramatic setback to overcome and no last-second recovery story. Instead, the win came down to something much simpler: good athletes working well as a team and executing their plan.

The Crowd Was Part of It

The three athletes may have been the ones competing, but they had plenty of people behind them.

SAGER coaches, trainee coaches, friends, family, and members of the media team were there supporting the team from the crowd.

And they made themselves heard.

The atmosphere at Kabs Underground was loud, energetic, and intense, with supporters cheering throughout the rounds. Watching the other teams compete made for a nerve-wracking few hours, but once Team Intex finished their workout, the tension disappeared pretty quickly.

The celebration was anything but quiet.

Ahmad was thrown into the air by the supporters, followed by a team chant to celebrate the finish.

It was the kind of moment that makes competition about more than just the result.

What’s Next?

Calithlon was Team Intex’s first competition together, but it’s not the end of the story.

The team is already looking ahead to their next challenge and will continue pushing themselves through competition, training, and everything that comes with representing the communities they’re part of.

Because at the end of the day, competition isn’t only about who’s strongest.

It’s about strategy, teamwork, staying composed under pressure, and having the right people around you.

Team Intex brought all four to Calithlon.

First place. First competition together. And definitely not the last.
